In this lesson, you will learn how to prepare reconnaissance reports. You will also learn
how to complete DA Forms 1248, 1249, 1250, 1251, 1252, and 1711-R.

INTRODUCTION
The reconnaissance report forms are available through normal publication channels;
however, short forms or work sheets for fieldwork may be designed and produced by the
unit performing the reconnaissance. When completing DA reconnaissance forms, remember
the following:
Send the report to the headquarters identified in the heading blocks.
Note information that is unknown or undetermined with a question mark.
Record all information in metric units of measurement.
