FRAME 1-64. INFORMATION FRAME.
Panel 1-5 is a sample of a situation map, in this case, a sketch of friendly and enemy positions. Standard
military symbols are used, in accordance with FM 21-30. Significant topographic symbols, such as hills, rivers,
roads, and bridges, are shown when they influence the military situation. At least two grid intersections are plotted,
to aid in relating the sketch or overlay to existing topographic maps. The types, sizes, numbers, and positions of
enemy and friendly units are indicated, along with front line boundaries, and the type, numbers, and positions of
enemy weapons.
