DETERMINE FIELD MOISTURE CONTENT
Proper field control is of paramount importance in earthwork construction. The control tests are
conducted on the soil at the job site as construction proceeds. If at any time the tests indicate that
operations are not producing a soil condition specified by the design tests, immediate action should be
taken to remedy the situation.
