Add the seconds together.

Add the minutes together.

Add the degrees together.

c. After the answer has been reached, the minutes must be extracted from the seconds and the

degrees must be extracted from the minutes (if there are any) by dividing by 60.

d. The mean angle of two or more angles is determined by combining the processes of addition

and division in the following order:

Add all the degrees, minutes, and seconds.

Divide the sum by the number of angles.

The quotient is the mean angle.
